Does it make sense to add an addddddd?

So I went and researched a lot about Google Adsense, and figured I’d go ahead and include it.

“HEY! I thought you HATED banner ads and advertisements!!”

Well, I do. But I have one of the most comprehensive lists of ad servers loaded into my adblocker. Know how many of them trigger on my website? Not a single one. Yeah, that’s right.. I don’t block Google’s ads.

Why? Simple, Their ads are targeted, based off of keywords on your website. Google rapidly analyzes your website and displays an add (or three) based on what you’re already reading about.

Secondly, the ads are non-invasive. A simple little bordered box on the left hand side of the site. In fact, if – for some reason (not enough keywords, etc..?) – Google isn’t about to display targeted ads, then the ad segment hides itsself. SHOCKING! (Okay, so that’s a goooooglehack, but they tell you how to do it, if you look hard enough.)

By the way, one thing you will NOT find on this website is my ad-begging. Why? It’s not allowed. If a website that shows google adsense has any text asking a user to click the ads, it is a violation of Google’s Terms of Service.

I have to admit, out of all of the targeted ad services, and non-targeted, pay-per-click ad services that I considered, Google was the best.

If you run a website that generates decent traffic and provides reasonable content… and you need some extra cha- in the -ching, then I suggest checking them out.

…and if you think I sold out… Check out the hundreds (upon thousands) of other blogs in the world that have ads plastered all over them.
